These terms cover the use of marcusburton.me and the text messages sent as part of Marcus Burton's birthday card program. By using the site or taking part, you agree to what follows.

What this program is

Marcus Burton sends handwritten birthday cards, sometimes containing a gift card, to people he knows through his personal and professional life. To do that he needs to know your birthday and where to mail it. This site is how you give him that information.

This program is run by Marcus Burton personally, as an individual. He works as a Senior Loan Officer at Innovative Mortgage Alliance, which is how many people here know him, but this is not a program of Innovative Mortgage Alliance and is not sponsored or administered by them.

There is no cost to take part, and nothing is being sold to you here.

Program name: Marcus Burton Birthday Card Program.

Who sends the messages: Marcus Burton, an individual, at 801-915-1940.

Program description. Marcus sends an occasional text message asking for your birthday and mailing address so he can send you a birthday card, along with a small number of follow-up reminders if you have not responded.

How you came to receive messages. Messages are sent to people who have an existing business or personal relationship with Marcus Burton, such as current and former clients, referral partners, business networking contacts, and personal acquaintances. This is not a purchased list, and numbers are not obtained from third parties.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies and is low. In most cases you will receive one message, and at most a few follow-ups if you do not reply.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Marcus does not charge you anything; your mobile carrier may, according to your plan.

To stop: reply STOP to any message. You will be unsubscribed immediately and will receive no further messages from this program.

Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is not guaranteed, and supported carriers may change without notice.

Privacy. Your mobile number and your consent to receive messages are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes, and are never sold. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

The gift card drawing

Cards and gift cards

Sending a card is a personal gesture, offered at Marcus's discretion. Taking part does not entitle you to a card or a gift card of any particular value, and nothing here is a contract to provide one. Cards are mailed to the address you provide; if that address is wrong or out of date, the card may not reach you.

Accuracy of what you submit

Please provide information that is accurate and your own. Do not submit somebody else's details without their knowledge. If you receive a link that was meant for someone else, do not use it; their record would be updated with your information.

Nothing here is a financial service

This site exists only to collect birthday and mailing details for sending cards. It is not an application for a mortgage or any other loan, it is not an offer of credit, and no information submitted here is used to evaluate you for any financial product. Anything relating to lending is handled separately and directly with Marcus in his role at Innovative Mortgage Alliance.

Availability

This site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable at times, and may be changed or withdrawn at any point. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Marcus Burton is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or participation in this program.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
